Perhelatan akbar gigs atau reuni para punkers se-Jakarta dan kota-kota sekitarnya akan diselenggarakan tinggal hitungan hari. Punk atau musik yang beraliran punk di Indonesia khususnya di Jakarta mempunyai ceritanya sendiri, dibandingkan dengan aliran musik lainnya seperti Pop, Metal, Rock dan Reggae. Punk mempunyai komunitas atau penikmat tersendiri di kalangan anak muda di Indonesia. Di Jakarta sendiri, Punk mempunyai fenomena yang bisa dibilang pasang-surut. Susahnya izin oleh pihak atau aparat setempat, membuat komunitas ini membuat “mandek” untuk masalah gigs. Berbeda dengan aliran musik pada umumnya, yang jika mengadakan konser dengan mudah disetujui oleh aparat, dan satu lagi mempunyai banyak iklan yang perkara financial bisa dibilang tak ada masalah. Punk adalah sebuah perlawanan tentang itu semua, menolak adanya “embel-embel” iklan, dikerjakan secara kolektif dan bergotong-royong. Seperti yang sudah diketahui atau dijalani para punker yang memiliki pedoman do it yourself atau sering disebut dengan D.I.Y. dengan rasa kebersamaan yang tinggi, maka Komunitas Punk Jakarta, membuat gigs yang melanjutkan gigs tahun lalu, dan tahun ini, Pakalolo Records membuat gigs yang ia beri nama “Kingkong vol. 2”. Seperti melanjutkan atau meneruskan tahun sebelumnya, Kingkong vol. 2 ini akan menampilkan band-band punk yang sudah malang-melintang dan tetap konsisten di jalur punk yang antara lain : Molotov Cocktail, The Tot, Fisticuff 86, Chaos RI, Kremlin, Klepto, Total Distroy, Last Drive, dan masih banyak yang lainnya. Kingkong vol.2 ini akan diselenggarakan di Plaza Selatan Gelora Bung Karno Senayan Jakarta pada hari Sabtu 21 Februari 2015, mulai pukul 12.00-19.00 WIB.
Ini mungkin adalah hajatan Punk terbesar tahun ini di jakarta bahkan di Indonesia. Kawan-kawan yang ikut mengisi acara ini tak hanya band dari Jakarta dan Tangerang. Tapi dari Jogjakarta, Pemalang, Temanggung dan dari punk pantai utara kota Indramayu. Sebagai komunitas yang masih dipandang sebelah mata oleh masyarakat masa kini, para pelaku punk tetap akan membuktikan bahwa punk tidak kriminal dan tidak vandalism. Dan sudah saya bahas di awal, bahwa acara ini tidak ada iklan yang menopang atau memback-up. Maka dari itu, tiket presale sudah dijual dari beberapa waktu lalu yang harganya Rp. 20.000,- dan untuk on the spot beda Rp 10.000,- yaitu menjadi Rp. 30.000,-. Jika kawan-kawan ingin atau acara ini akan terus berlangsung setiap tahunnya, maka belilah tiket. Karena kita (punk) atau panitia bisa membuat acara dari hasil pembelian tiket kalian dari itulah acara ini terselanggara. Hargai jerih payah Pakalolo yang sudah membuat acara sebesar ini, yang mungkin di kota-kota lain sulit terlaksana karena masalah izin dan tentu saja dengan biaya.

Founded in 1980 in Edinburgh by Wattie Buchan, THE EXPLOITED's last studio album, "Fuck The System", came out in 2003.
Close Shave-Bad Reputation
December saw the release of Close Shave's second album outing since they got back together. Having done artwork for the first CD, I was asked to design the 2nd one. It appeared some of the tracks had already seen an outing on the first CD so I wasn't expecting anything any different than what had already been released. How wrong I was to be. I had heard good reports about it prior to listening to it. The quality compared to the previous album really shines through. Even tracks like My Brother Mark, The Real Oi!, Won't Say Sorry and Can't Stand Northern Soul have been improved upon no end. I found myself liking them a lot more this time around. The sound is of a quality on a par with Oi! classics of the golden years by The Rejects, Sparrer, 4-Skins, Business and the Last Resort. I swear I can even hear some Ramones and some Upstarts in there somewhere.
The songs that stand out on the album are Who Made You the Voice of the National Conscience, A Sapper's Tale, The title track - Bad Reputation and the rework of You're Wondering Now. It does actually work well yet still true enough to the original. I don't know what has happened between the two albums but I should imagine a lot of hard work and a lot of thought about the songwriting. There are some memorable riffs, some great bass-line breaks and a lot of great guitar soloing that make this album deserved of the title of "Best Oi! album in years". If you have Made in Brum and were in any doubt about getting the follow-up CD - don't hesitate. Their critics would like nothing more than to see them fail but based on this CD, they have proved themself to be producing the best streetpunk in the UK bar none. You wil NOT be disappointed. I give it at least 9/10.

This Is England is a 2006 British drama film written and directed by Shane Meadows. The story centres on young skinheads in England in 1983. The film illustrates how their subculture, which has its roots in 1960s West Indian culture, especially ska, soul, and reggae music, became adopted by white nationalists, which led to divisions within the skinhead scene. The film's title is a direct reference to a scene where the character Combo explains his nationalist views using the phrase "this is England" during his speech.
